Editorial Policy

DesiQuiz publishes three kinds of content: quiz questions, study guides and short Web Stories. This page explains how each one is made, how we try to keep it accurate, and what to do when you spot a mistake. For how the platform itself works, see About DesiQuiz.

Quiz questions

• Draft, review, publish. A question starts as a draft. It reaches players only after our editorial team has reviewed it and published it.
• Sources. Many questions carry a source citation. You can see it next to the question on the sample questions of each quiz category.
• Retiring questions. A question can be retired from the active pool at any time, for example once it turns out to be wrong or has gone out of date, so other players stop seeing it.
• Skill only. Scores and rankings come from accuracy and response time alone. Questions are never chosen to favour or disadvantage a player.

Study guides and Web Stories

• Guides and stories are written by the DesiQuiz editorial team from publicly available sources and reviewed before publication. This is the byline you see on each guide.
• Each guide shows when it was last updated. When we correct or extend one, that date changes.
• Every guide links to the quiz on the same topic, so you can check what you remember against the questions.

Corrections

Questions are not finished once they are live. If you think a question is wrong, outdated or has no correct answer, you can report it from the results screen after answering it. Every report is reviewed, and a question confirmed to be wrong is corrected or retired. For a mistake in a study guide or Web Story, use the Contact Us page and tell us which page and what is wrong; we update the page and its date.

Advertising

DesiQuiz is supported by advertising. Advertisements are always labelled as advertisements, and they have no influence on which questions we write, what the answers are, or how players are ranked.
