This policy explains what personal data DesiQuiz collects, why we collect it, how long we retain it, and how you can exercise your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

Data We Collect

• Account data: email and/or phone number, display name, hashed password.
• Age and residency self-declarations made at registration.
• Gameplay data: quiz attempts, answers, response times, and category levels.
• Wallet data: an append-only coin ledger of earnings and redemptions (no payment instrument data is ever collected).
• Consent records for our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

Purpose of Collection

We use this data to operate gameplay, compute coin balances, maintain leaderboards, prevent fraud, fulfil reward redemptions, and comply with applicable law.

Retention

Account and ledger data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to satisfy audit and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account via your profile; some records (e.g. the append-only coin ledger) may be retained in anonymized or aggregate form as required for financial audit trails.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, opt out of notifications, or request deletion of your account data at any time from your profile settings.
